Vascular / Endovascular Surgery

Since 1993 when Saint Thomas Health surgeons performed the region’s first endovascular surgical treatment of an abdominal aortic aneurysm, our vascular surgery program has remained the region’s leader for excellence in patient care and surgical results. Our program has a long-standing commitment to providing patients with the safest, most advanced surgical treatment options available with an emphasis on the diagnosis and management of carotid artery disease, aortic aneurysms, and poor circulation to the legs and the abdominal organs.

Vascular and endovascular procedures are performed in our newly built state-of-the-art Artis Zeego Hybrid Operating Room. This highly advanced surgical suite accommodates both complex and less invasive procedures with the latest technologies that enhance efficiency, quality and patient safety. The operating room utilizes the most advanced surgical technology and equipment available today, which allows physicians to perform procedures with greater precision and efficiency. In addition, physicians of varying specialties are able to work in unison to diagnose and treat patients simultaneously within the same operating suite. Patient benefits include reduced infections and faster recovery times.
