Construction Update

Total joint replacement surgeries in Middle Tennessee have increased by 23 percent during the last five years, and projections indicate that they will continue to increase another 18 percent over during the five years. To meet this need, our $25 million investment on the Saint Thomas Midtown campus will create Saint Thomas Joint Replacement Institute, the premier joint replacement program in Middle Tennessee.

"Wall-Breaking" Event at Saint Thomas Midtown

On Friday, August 30th, 2014, the first visible steps were taken to prepare for the creation of the Saint Thomas Joint Replacement Institute's permanent home.  A "wall-breaking" was held in place of a groundbreaking, as a portion of an 8th floor wall was demolished to kick off the 94,000 square foot renovation project.
