Care for the Poor

Care for the Poor is central to the identity of Saint Thomas Health.

The following services reach out to the poor and underserved in our communities.

Medical Missions at Home

These day-long community health events provide needed primary and specialty care and services to communities throughout Middle Tennessee. Read more about Medical Missions at Home.

Medical Missions Overseas

There are dozens of groups participating each year in traveling to underserved countries around the world such as Mexico, Africa, and Haiti to help with medical needs.  Saint Thomas Health provides medication donations, financial support and prayer.  Read more about Medical Missions Overseas.

Family Health Clinics

The mission of Saint Thomas Health's network of family health centers is to serve the community by providing health care to all ages regardless of insurance or financial resources. The centers are staffed by licensed medical professionals. Read more about Family Health Clinics.


Mobile Health Unit Collaborative

Focusing on well-child visits, immunizations, and sports physicals for children (ages birth-21). Pediatric dental care is available at 6 of out sites.
