In Tennessee, African American women have the highest rate of deaths due to breast cancer. Detecting cancer in the early stages increases the chance of survival.  Uninsured and underinsured African American women over the age of 40 qualify for free mammograms and may contact the Saint Thomas Family Health Center at 615.222.1900 for appointments and information.
