Stereotactic Radiosurgery
Delivering renewed hope for patients.
Stereotactic radiosurgery with Novalis Shaped Beam technology — now regarded as the preferred treatment option for many tumors — enables our radiation oncologists and surgeons to deliver precisely focused radiation to patients with tumors and other lesions affecting the brain and spine. Our patients benefit from this advanced, non-invasive technology with faster recovery time, minimal disruptions, and fewer complications.
How It Works.
Advanced, state-of-the-art computers create three-dimensional images that guide radiation oncologists and surgeons to pinpoint-target the tumor or lesion. This micro-precision technology allows high doses of radiation to be delivered to the irregular edges and contours of the tumor without harming the surrounding areas of the body.
No incision is necessary, surrounding healthy tissue is not affected, and general anesthesia is not required for adults. Most patients can be treated on an outpatient basis.
